The Speedy Online Grocer is production ready software that joins with the Shop 'n Stock software running on the smartphone platform to demonstrate the end-to-end automation of the customer's  online grocery shopping experience.  That experience includes in-store shopping as well.

Online and automated in-store grocery shopping are available today.  What has been missing is its integration with storage and consumption activities that take place at the consumer's home, where shopping really starts.

Several things have been lacking from the automated shopping experience:

1. No easy way to keep track of what was being consumed and needs to be replenished -Now it can be done in real-time.

Though software is available to track grocery supplies and shopping lists, these are stand-alone systems that are not much more than an electronic grocery list.

2. Intelligent shopping carts that record grocery cart contents and facilitate finding items in the store are also stand-alone systems  - Now shoppers can bring their smartphone to the store with their grocery list and use it as their "intelligent shopping cart" and  simultaneously update their inventory at home. 

3. Current online grocery shopping is impeded by the sheer volume of products and product sizes.  Becasue online grocers operate using the standard shopping cart approach to Internet online shopping finding a cart full of groceries is time consuming - Now they can shop by submitting their barcoded shopping list directly from Shop 'n Stock to an online grocer for picking and delivery or pickup and they can track order status on their smartphone.

Remember shopping starts at home when the consumer runs out of something not when they get to the grocery store.
